Brown Brothers Moscato & Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Blended White from Australia - Other
Review Date : 07-Jan-2015
The second release of this wine. A blend of Muscat of Alexandria from the Murray Valley and Sauvignon Blanc from Tasmania, fermented to 7.5% alc., TA 5.6 g/L and pH 3.16. Full, even, straw-yellow colour with light golden hues. This has a tightly packed nose with fresh fruit aromas of stonefruits and herbs melded with tropical fruits and musk. A mouthwatering passionfruit element is present. Medium-dry to medium in sweetness and light-bodied, the flavours of green stonefruits, herbs, tropical fruits and musk are intriguing. The mouthfeel features fine textures and a slippery, smooth flow with fresh, lacy acidity adding to the tension. The wine carries to a musky, grapey, tropical fruit nuanced, dry finish. This is a smooth, mouthwatering blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Moscato with musk and herb flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with Pacific Rim cuisine over the next 12-18 months. A 2014 vintage wine, but not labelled with year. Winemaker: Cate Looney. 16.5-/20 Jan 2015 RRP $17.99
