Brown Brother Sparkling Moscato Rosa NV

Sparkling Wine from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 07-Jan-2015
The second release of this label. A blend of Moscato and Cienna, fruit from N.W. Victoria, Charmat fermented to 7.0% alc., TA 5.4 g/L and pH 3.24. Bright strawberry-red colour, lighter on rim. The bead is moderately fine and with good persistence. This has a softly voluminous, up-front nose of raspberry fruit infused with musk and subtle red berry fruits. The aromatics are lifted by fruit pastille confectionary elements and a little foxiness. Medium in sweetness and light bodied, the mouthfeel is soft and gently frothy with flavours of raspberry confectionary melded with musk. The flavours are up-front and uncomplicated and lead to a light, sweetly nuanced finish. This is a gentle, soft, frothy sparkling Moscato with gently sweet flavours of raspberry confectionary and musk. Serve as an aperitif and with red berryfruit desserts over the next 12-18 months. Winemaker: Cate Looney. 16.0+/20 RRP $17.99
