Deep, full, ruby-red red with a dark core, lighter on the rim. The nose is gentle and lifted, with aromas of red berry, cassis, red floral, ripe plum, cigar, dried herbs and spice. Full-bodied, aromas of red berry, cassis and plum entwined with dried herb, hibiscus, liquorice, vanilla and cedar. The buoyant acidity uplifts the red fruit core, along with dried herbs and spice layering over fine-grained tannins and quality oak details, carrying a lengthy, elegant, structured closing. This Cabernet Merlot blend shows length and strength with elegance, balance, detail and seduction. Match with braised show ribs and beed Wellington over the next 10+ years. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon(Ohiti Estate), 16% Merlot (Mere Road) and 14% Cabernet Franc (Ohiti Estate), fermented in tank on skins for 14+ days with daily pumpovers.
