Brookefields Robertson Pinot Gris 2021, Hawke’s Bay

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 29-Sep-2021
Bright, pale straw-yellow with a peach hue, even colour throughout. The nose is inviting and elegantly full, packed with floral perfume melded with ripe Peckham pear, stonefruit and a light dusting of spice. Medium-bodied, dry-ish to taste, lush aromas of sweet pear, juicy peach and nectarine entwined with white blossoms, citrus zest and ginger powder. The fruit is ripe and juicy with a good acidity balance, persisting on the palate with delicate spices, linger to a refreshing, moreish finish. Match with fish curry and five-spiced pork chops over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from Ohiti Estate, pressed then cold settled, fermented cool to 13.5% alc, 4g/l RS. Left on gross lees with regular lees stirring. Vegan friendly. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Sept 2021 RRP $21
