Brodie Estate ‘The Angel’s Sigh’ Martinborough Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 09-Mar-2017
Very pale salmon pink with pale peach hues and some depth, lighter on the edge. This has a very soft and delicate nose with subtle aromas of cherries and strawberries along with pink floral notes. The nose is clean and pure with delicate detail that builds to form a softly packed core with mineral elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses an elegant core of soft cherry and strawberry flavour lifted by pink floral notes. The palate is fresh with lacy acidity, with a rounded core that smoothly carries the wine along a soft-textured line, leading to a light, mouthwatering finish of florals, soft berry fruits and minerals. This is a soft dry rosé with delicate strawberry and cherry fruit along with lifted pink florals and a gently refreshing mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif and with canapes over the next 2 years. 100% clone 115 Pinot Noir, WBP and cool-fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and dryness. 17.5/20 Mar 2017 RRP $27.00
