Brightwater Vineyards ‘Sophie’s Kiss’ Nelson Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 21-Sep-2017
Bright, pale cerise-pink with slight purple hues and some depth, lighter edged. The nose is fresh and bright with good depth and intensity of fragrant raspberries and cream aromas along with subtle floral lift and nuances of confectionary and fermentation esters. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate has lively and fresh aromatic flavours of raspberries and cream, red florals and confectionary nuances, The mouthfeel is refreshing with lively and vibrant acidity that is quite mouthwatering, and the wine flows along a smooth line, leading to an elegant, lingering finish of raspberries and florals. This is a bright and lively refreshingly dry rosé with raspberries and cream, floral and lifted confectionary notes on a fine flowing palate. Serve as an aperitif, with dim sum and antipasto over the next 2 years, Pinot Noir fruit hand-picked and given 24 hours skin contact and indigenous yeast cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 6 g/L RS, the wine spending a month on lees. 17.5+/20 Sep 2017 RRP $22.00
