Moderately dark, deep, black-hued red with garnet hues, a little lighter on the rim. The bouquet is full, bold and up-front with solidly packed aromas of rich, ripe dark-red berry fruits layered with savoury dark thyme herbs and complex notes of stalk, game, mushroom and complexing, lifted, cedary oak. Medium-full bodied, the palate features rich and lusciously succulent fruit flavours of savoury red berry fruits, dark plums, thyme herbs, lifted florals and savoury game, undergrowth and mushroom flavours. The mouthfeel is robust and vigorous with accessible tannin structure and integrated, soft acidity enlivening the fruitiness. This has a rich core that carries to a long, fulsome finish of rich, savoury red fruits. This is a fulsome, vigorous and robust Pinot Noir with savoury fruit and complexing layers of interest on an accessible, but well-structured palate. Match with game meats and casseroles over the next 6+ years. The bouquet is full and broad with deep, lifted aromas of savoury dark red berry fruit complexed by layers of dried thyme herbs, tamarillos, ripe dark plums and secondary game notes. Medium-full bodied, the palate is full and up-front with softly ripe dark red berry fruits alongside tamarillo fruit, dried herbs, plums and savoury game elements, The fruit is framed by plenty of fine, grainy tannins lending a dry texture with good grip. Soft, background acidity enhances the rounded fruit core, and the wine gently recedes to a light, savoury red-fruited finish. This is an up-front, savoury Pinot Noir with sweet and gamey complexities and a grainy, structured mouthfeel. Match with game meat dishes and casseroles over the next 4-5+ years.
