Brennan ‘B2’ Central Otago Gewurztraminer 2014

Gewurztraminer from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 07-Jan-2017
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on the edge. The bouquet is elegantly expressed with a delicate, fragrant floral array of white flowers, rose-petals and suggestions of Turkish Delight and spices, unfolding musk, fresh herb and mineral notes. Medium in sweetness and medium-bodied, the palate is softly concentrated with a core of rose-petal florals, Turkish Delight and musk. The fruit has sweetness lending richness to the mouthfeel, and is balanced by fresh, lacy acidity. The wine flows along a fine-textured phenolic line, leading to a soft finish with exotic florals and musk nuances. This is a softly concentrated medium Gewurztraminer with delicate exotic florals and musk, on a fresh, finely-textured palate. Serve with mild Asian cuisine over the next 3+ years. Fruit from the ‘Hill’ block, hand-picked and WBP, fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 18 g/L RS. 156 cases made. 17.5+/20 Jan 2017 RRP $25.00
