Brancott Estate ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Jul-2011
Very pale straw-yellow with green hues and a pale edge. This has a very fresh, bold nose of pungent passionfruit and gooseberries with good depth and up-front accessibility. Dry to taste, the palate shows zesty passionfruit, lime and nettle flavours with racy acidity providing crispness and real freshness. The wine opens up to reveal sweet nectarine and tropical fruit flavours, developing a roundness and some weight. A textbook Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that will match seafood and creamy sauce poultry dishes over the next 2-3 years. Cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. with 4.2 g/L rs. 18.0/20 Jul 2011 RRP $25.95
