Brancott Estate ‘Identity’ Awatere Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Sep-2018
Bright pale straw colour with slight green hues, very light on the edge. The nose is very firm and tight with intense, punchy aromas of pungent passionfruit interwoven with bold notes of cut-grass and nettles, snow peas and fresh herbs. The nose has intense and penetrating herbaceous elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, this has a taut but intense core of passionfruit, cut-grass, nettles and herbaceous elements. The palate features a smooth line with brisk acidity enlivening the mouthfeel. This has good drive and linearity and carries smoothly to a lingering finish of cut-grass and nettles. This is a tight, intense, herbaceous cool-spectrum Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, cut-grass and nettles on a smooth-flowing palate with brisk acidity. Match with Pacific Rim cuisine over the next 2 years. MS Clone fruit from the Awatere Valley, fermented in stainless-steel with 12% in French oak cuves to 13.23% alc. and 4.6 g/L RS. 17.0+/20 Sep 2018 RRP $21.99
