Brancott Estate ‘Flight’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Apr-2016
Bright, very pale straw, near colourless on the rime. The nose is fresh, full, up-front and punchy with mouthwatering aromas of pungent passionfruit and tropical fruit notes. Off-dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate features deep and intense flavours of passionfruit, fresh herbs and green capsicums. The mouthfeel is thirst-quenchingly fresh and crisp, with lively acidity. The fruit is underlined by a dry, fine-textured phenolic line which carries the wine to a long lingering, dry, grainy textured finish of passionfruit and herbs. This is a punchy and intense, passionfruity off-dry Sauvignon Blanc with a lively, dry-textured palate. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood, or Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from selected vineyard sites, generally picked early and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 9.14% alc. and 12.2 g/L RS, TA 7.3 g/L and pH 3.17. 17.0+/20 Apr 2016 RRP $26.99
