Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 9.0% alc. and 15.5 g/L rs, with 7.8 g/L TA and pH 3.3. Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues. This is very fresh and up-front with moderately deep pungent passionfruit, nettle and grass aromas with delicate, detailed nuances of gooseberries, herbs and limes. With time in glass elderflower aromas emerge. Medium in sweetness, this is light in weight and light on gooseberry, passionfruit and herbal fruit flavours. The fruit is expressed with some lusciousness and sugar, but balanced by slightly drying textures and some firmness from the acidity providing a core with drive. Elderflower flavours emerge on mid-pakate and are carried through to a very long, slight sweet, slippery finish. Medium in sweetness, this is a light-bodied Sauvignon Blanc with an array of flavours at the core, revealing distinctive elderflower notes.
