Brancott Estate ‘Flight’ Marlborough Pinot Gris 2012

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Oct-2012
Very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on rim. This has a light bouquet of herbs, pears, white florals and a little minerally flintiness. Medium in sweetness, the residual sugar provides a soft, rounded unctuousness which carries light flavours of stonefruits, honeysuckle and pears, along with delicate herbal nuances. There acidity combines with the sweetness resulting in a slippery mouthfeel which leads to a gently lush finish with flinty nuances. This is a light-bodied and delicately flavoured Pinot Gris with a slippery sweetness. A wine to enjoy ‘al fresco' over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 9.0% alc, and 17.7 g/L rs, with 6.4 g/L TA and pH 3.5. 16.0+/20 Oct 2012 RRP $26.99
