Bouldevines Marlborough Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Feb-2011
Made from fruit from four vineyard blocks each handled differently for complexity. Fully destemmed and given a 372 hour cold soak and fermented to 14.2% alc. Aged in 20% new French oak barrels. Full, deep, dark ruby red in colour, with youthful, purple hues. This has ripe dark berry aromas along with spices, cherry liqueur and plum notes. A very fine-textured wine, this has tightly bound and concentrated ripe, dark red berry and plum flavours with a core of density which carries through the long palate. The tannins are fine-grained and there is excellent freshness. This will drink well with roasted duck dishes over the next 4-6 years. 18.0+/20 Nov 2010 RRP $29.95
