Bouldevines Marlborough Gewurztraminer 2009

Gewurztraminer from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Feb-2011
The second crop from vines situated in the south-west corner of the vineyard. Cool fermented to 13.5% alc. and 7.0 g/L rs. Bright, even, light straw yellow in colour. This has a very elegant bouquet with cool-climate florals, rose-petal aromas and a little fresh garden herb in the mix. Reasonably attractive with it. Dryish with a little sweetness detectable, this has some alcohol warmth on impact, restraining the already light fruit expression. Nuances of perfume and spice emerge in glass, along with a slight grip and characteristic bitter note that is inherent with Gewurztraminer. 15.5-/20 Nov 2010 RRP $27.00
