Bott-Geyl ‘Metss’ Alsace Gentil 2011

Blended White from France - Alsace
Review Date : 17-Mar-2014
A blend of 40% Muscat, 30% Riesling and 10% each of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Sylvaner. 12.5% alc. Bright straw-yellow colour, this is very elegant and delicately refreshing on bouquet. The white floral aromatics are indicative of Riesling and only subtle nuances of Muscat are discernable. Off-dryish to taste, the acidity is prevalent on palate, providing a taut and refreshing linearity. The mouthfeel develops a roundness that suggests unctuousness, reflecting the Muscat portion of the blend. Nuances of tropical fruits unfold in the glass, but the finish is a refreshing, one with good cut. A blend that shows Riesling varietal freshness and line. 3-4+ years. 17.5/20 Mar 2014 RRP $27.99
