Borthwick Wairarapa Riesling 2010

Riesling from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 24-Mar-2011
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, this has a beautifully elegant and delicate bouquet of florals and blossoms, lime fruits and cool citrus aromas, enhanced by a sweet confectionary note. Dryish to taste, the perfumed nature of the citrus and blossomy fruit is the highlight, along with the finesse and stylish delicacy. There is good acid poise, the wine showing freshness and youth, and a slight drying bitter nuance adds to the mouthwatering finish. Drink as an aperitif over the next 4-5+ years. Made from two clones from the ‘Borthwick' vineyard cool-fermented in stanless-steel to 13.1% alc. and 5.3 g/L rs. 17.5/20 Mar 2011 RRP $22.50
