Bonpas ‘Plan de Dieu’ Cotes du Rhone Villages 2010

Grenache from France - Rhone
Review Date : 11-Apr-2012
Grenache and Syrah fermented to 14.5% alc. Very full, deep, dark, black-ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues. The bouquet shows ripe, up-front and bright raspberry and dark red floral aromatics along with a wild herb, earth and savoury underlay that grows in volume. Medium-full bodied, this has deep and intense flavours of raspberry Grenache fruit forming a good core. The sweet fruitiness on palate is supported by plenty of soft tannins and discreet acidity, and the textures are soft and plush. This has a moderately sustained, fruity finish that is soft and gentle. This is a bright, fruity and well-balanced wine with soft textures to make it a match with grilled and roasted red meat dishes over the next 3-4+ years. 17.5+/20 Apr 2012 RRP $N/A
