Bonpas ‘Dom Alfant’ Cotes du Rhone 2010

Grenache from France - Rhone
Review Date : 11-Apr-2012
Dark, deep, ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues. The bouquet is softly full and mellow with raspberry and cherry fruits, along with savoury, earthy overtones and dried herbs. There is an attractive aromatic lift and perfume. Medium-bodied, this has soft, lush and supple raspberryish Grenache fruit flavours, bright and up-front in expression. Gentle and soft tannins support the fruitiness and provide a mildly drying texture, allowing the fruit sweetness to feature on the finish. This is a light and sweet fruited wine with soft tannin balance to drink with barbecued foods over the next 3+ years. Grenache and Syrah fermented to 14.0% alc. 16.0/20 Apr 2012 RRP $N/A
