Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2007

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 26-May-2013
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour, pale on rim and youthful in appearance. The nose is very fine and elegant, quite delicate with an attractive freshness. The fruit aromas of citrus, white florals and flinty minerals form a tight core, revealing savoury nutty notes in the glass. An elegantly proportioned wine, the fruit flavours are fresh with citrus, florals and flint, revealing distinctive butterscotch MLF elements. Minerals and nutty notes build to become prominent. This has a tight, linear core with near racy acidity driving the palate line. The steely briskness and a fine textured line carry the nutty, white floral flavours on a long and lingering finish. This is a tight and fresh, nutty Corton-Charlemagne with MLF elements showing and acid drive. It will develop over the next 8-10 years. 18.5+/20 May 2013 RRP $255.00
