Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2006

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 26-May-2013
Brilliant, full, pale straw-yellow colour. The nose is very full and voluminous, but even and elegant in depth. The aromatics are fresh, youthful and delicately undeveloped. A very refined white stonefruit, citrus and nutty array unfolds, with subtle complexities and detail on the nose. Medium-bodied, fine, luscious and delicately sweet citrus and tropical fruit flavours form an elegantly concentrated core. Gentle waves of complexing flint, minerals and nutty flavours emerge in support. The mouthfeel is very refined and seamlessly smooth with excellent acid finesse and balance. The flavours flow to a dry and extremely long finish with beautiful detail and nuance. This is an elegantly fresh and seamless Corton-Charlemagne with the focus and energy to develop over the next 8-10 years. 19.0+/20 May 2013 RRP $245.00
