Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2004

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 26-May-2013
Full, soft straw-yellow colour, pale on edge. The nose is full and up-front with open aromas of nuts, minerals and white stonefruits. A little alcohol is noticeable, and the aromas are broad in proportion, with moderate depth. Medium-bodied, this has good linear drive with elegant, savoury white stonefruit flavours and nutty notes. The expression is more mild, the acidity quite soft, and the flavours straightforward and direct. The fruit is modest in richness and sweetness, with subtle drying textures carrying the flavours to a light finish. This is a smaller-scale Corton-Charlemagne, quite accessible and showing signs of drying. Drink over the next 4-5 years. 17.5-/20 May 2013 RRP $245.00
