Bollinger Champagne ‘Grande Annee’ 2000

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 28-Aug-2011
A blend of 63% PN, 37% Ch, 76% of the wine from grand cru sites and 24% from premier crus, the wine with a dosage of 6-8 g/L. Bright light golden colour, this has very persistent, fine bubbles. The bouquet is very refined, tight and restrained, with a core of stonefruit and bready, nutty autolysis aromas still to unfold. Very dry to taste, this combines freshness with finesse and a steeliness enhanced by crisp, slippery acidity. The tightly bound nutty, bready flavours show real linearity and cut, with excellent length on the finish. This is an elegant vintage that will develop well over the next 5-7+ years.  Aug 2011
