Bohemian Wairau Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Oct-2011
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with some green hues and a light edge. This has an intense nose of passionfruit, English gooseberries, nettles and fresh herbs, the aromatics in the cooler spectrum. Dry to taste, assertive grassy, fresh herb and passionfruit flavours are supported by bracing acidity on attack. The mid palate is more restrained and a softness of texture shows, with the acidity highlighting the pungent herbal flavours through to the moderately sustained finish. Fruit from five sites in the Wairau Valley, vine averaging 10 y.o., fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L rs, the wine given lees stirring A powerful grassy Sauvignon Blanc with the softness for matching with seafood and poultry over the next 2+ years. 16.0+/20 Oct 2011 RRRP $21.95
