Rosé from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 24-May-2023
Bright, even, pale salmon with depth and a burnt orange hue. The nose is fresh and soft with red berry and raspberry aromas melded with rose petals, a hint of herb and cream. Medium-full bodied, red berry and raspberry aromas interweaved with black liquorice, blackcurrant vine and rose petals. The wine is mouth-filling with creamy weight. Savoury, herbaceous elements linger with black liquorice to a refreshing closing. Serve as an aperitif or match with pork cheek croquettes over the next 2 years. A blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Viognier, fermented to 12.5% alc. 17/20 pts (85 pts) May 2023 RRP $24.29
