Bodegas Muriel ‘JME’ Rioja Graciano 2011

Other Red from Spain
Review Date : 01-Mar-2013
Aged in 100% American oak. Saturated black-red colour. The bouquet is firm and packed with spicy blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, well-ripened with density and clarity of expression. Full-bodied, concentrated and firm black fruits reveal dark herbal elements. Oaking is evident, adding lift and aromatic, sweet spiciness. This is highly extracted, the tannins fine and grainy, and providing serious structure. The palate has excellent tension with fresh, crisp acidity that carries the flavours to a very long, spicy finish. This is akin to a well-ripened Petit Verdot in flavour profile and structure. It will develop over the next 6-8 years. 18.0+/20 Feb 2013 RRP $25.00
