Bodegas Fontana ‘Oveja Tinta’ Graciano 2013

Other Red from Spain
Review Date : 06-Apr-2015
100% Graciano from the Ucles region, fermented to 13.5% alc., bottled as a Joven wine without oak maturation. Dark, deep, purple-hued ruby-red colour, youthful in appearance. The nose is softly full and voluminous with aromas of ripe, primary raspberry fruit with red liquorice and jammy, confectionary whole berry fermentation notes. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, up-front, soft and juicy flavours of raspberries, red plums, liquorice and jam feature on the front palate. Some grainy tannin textures emerge to balance the fruit sweetness leading to a dry, grainy mid-palate. The fruit flavours recede and the wine carries through to a light, raspberry-fruited finish. This is an up-front, juicy and jammy, raspberry fruited Graciano Spanish red with a light, dry finish. Match with tapas and antipasto over the next 2+ years. 2,155 dozen made. 16.5-/20 Apr 2015 RRP $19.95
