Bodegas Crin Roja ‘Las Corazas’ VdT Castilla Tempranillo 2015

Tempranillo from Spain
Review Date : 12-May-2017
Deep, dark-hearted ruby-red colour with black hues, lighter on the rim with some garnet. The nose is softly full with aromas of ripe dark-red berryfruit along with plum and boysenberry jam notes, unfolding savoury dark herb and nutty elements. Medium bodied, the palate is gently sweet with up-front flavours of dark-red berryfruit and plums, entwined with savoury nutty notes. The fruit is underlined by light, supple tannin extraction, and the mouthfeel shows lively acidity providing energy. The wine flows easily to a light finish of red fruits, dried herbs, earthy and nutty suggestions. This is an up-front, easy, sweet dark-red fruited Tempranillo with savoury earth, nutty and dried herb elements. Serve with antipasto, tapas and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Tempranillo from La Mancha fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged one month in oak. 15.5/20 May 2017 RRP $16.95
