Bodegas Castano Yecla Rosado 2014

Rose from Spain
Review Date : 31-Aug-2015
Pale strawberry pink colour with a little depth and pale purple hues on rim. The nose is well-proportioned with moderately deep aromas of pomegranate, strawberries and red florals, along with an earthy, thirst-quenching mineral element. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate features a soft, rounded core of light, savoury pomegranate fruit entwined with notes of cranberries, earth and florals. The mouthfeel is balanced with a soft sweetness and gentle flow that carries to a clean, dry finish. This is a light, soft rosé with a gentle core of fruit and a dry finish. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 18 months to 2 years. 100% Tempranillo from 30 y.o. bush vines, direct pressed without skin maceration and cool-fermented to 13.0% alc., and 2.6 g/L RS. 16.0+/20 Sep 2015 RRP $19.99
