Bodegas Borsao ‘Tocado’ Campo de Borja 2014

Grenache from Spain
Review Date : 05-Oct-2015
Dark, deep ruby-red colour, lighter on the edge. The nose is youthfully fresh and up-front with primary fruit aromas of raspberries and dark red berry fruits entwined with light herbal elements and lifted whole berry fermentation confectionary notes. Medium-bodied, brash and uncomplicated, juicy flavours of dark raspberries intermingle with lollyish and herbal notes. The mouthfeel features light, grainy tannins and some alcoholic drive. The juicy, jam and confectionary elements grow and are carried to a dry, light, raspberry nuanced finish. This is an up-front, youthfully fresh, raspberry flavoured Garnacha with grainy textures. Match with tapas and barbecued fare over the next 2+ years. 85% Garnacha, 10% Tempranillo and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines 10-15 y.o., fermented to 13.5% alc. 16.0+/20 Oct 2015 RRP $18.99
