Bodegas Borsao ‘Monte Oton’ Campo de Borja Garnacha 2013

Grenache from Spain
Review Date : 16-Sep-2014
100% Garnacha from vines 15-25 y.o. on the Moncayo slopes, fermented to 14.5% alc. Dark, deep, black-hued ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues. This has a full and soft nose with aromas of ripe and vibrant dark raspberry fruit, lifted by red florals revealing liquorice, spice and herb interest. Medium-full bodied, sweet, bold and juicy flavours of raspberries, red liquorice and sweet red plums are underlined by fine-grained, supple tannins. The acidity adds freshness and enriches the fruitiness, and the palate is balanced and lively. The wine flows with the attractive primary fruit carrying to a sweet, fleshy, lingering finish. This is a juicy, sweet, primary-fruited Garnacha with aromatic raspberry fruit flavours and a supple mouthfeel. Match with pasta, poultry, posk and lamb over the next 3+ years. 17.5+/20 Sep 2014 RRP $21.99
