Bodegas Aragonesas ‘Don Ramon’ ‘Perez Juan’ Campo de Borja 2012

Grenache from Spain
Review Date : 08-Jan-2015
Garnacha and Tempranillo fermented to 12.5% alc., the wine aged 3 months in American oak barrels. Even, dark ruby-red colour, lighter on edge. The bouquet is elegant and openly accessible with ethereal aromas of soft red berry fruit harmoniously melded with savoury brown fruits and oak cedar, along with piquant leathery elements. The primary fruit has given way to secondary development. Medium-light bodied, light flavours of savoury red and brown fruits are melded with cedar and earthy nuances. The mouthfeel is sweet and fresh with discreet acidity and a gentle core with supple, fine tannins carries the flavours to a smooth, integrated finish. This is a harmonious, supple and smooth Campo de Borja red with savoury and cedary flavours. Serve with poultry, pork and Mediterranean fare over the next 3+ years. 16.5+/20 Jan 2015 RRP $15.00
