Bock ‘Barrique’ Villanyi Chardonnay 2011

Chardonnay from Other
Review Date : 22-Feb-2014
Bright, light golden-yellow colour with some depth, lighter on rim. The bouquet is very fresh and clean with tightly held citrus and stonefruit aromas entwined with spicy new oak and delicate nutty notes. This is poised and has good intensity. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned with an amalgam of fine citrus and white stonefruit flavours infused with spicy, nutty new oak. The mouthfeel is well-balanced and straightforward, with fine textures and line, along with gentle acidity that carries the wine to a soft. fresh, lingering, nutty finish. This is a fresh, modern, international Chardonnay of elegance and positive oaking. Match with seafood and poultry over the next 3-4 years. 13.0% alc. 17.0+/20 Feb 2014 RRP $30.00
