Bloody Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Oct-2013
Named after events at Grass Cove in Queen Charlotte Sound on 17 October 1773. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 4.76 g/L RS. Bright, very pale straw-lemon colour, lighter on rim. The bouquet is brash, intense and mouthwatering with aromas of nettles, gooseberries, grass and nettles, the fruit in the herbaceous spectrum. Dry to taste, gentle herb, grass and gooseberry flavours form a core with good depth and moderate richness and juiciness. The mouthfeel is soft and rounded in texture with modest acidity, and the flavours flow smoothly, revealing some passionfruit notes on the finish. This Sauvignon Blanc has an intense grassy bouquet and a soft-textured mouthfeel. Match with Asian fare over the next 2 years. 15.5-/20 Oct 2013 RRP $11.99
