Bladen Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Sep-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour with green hues, near colourless. The nose is very delicate and subtle with aromas of gooseberry fruit, white florals, fresh herbs, nuances of snow peas and minerals. The aromatics are refined and build to show an elegant intensity with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is very refined and delicately flavoured, showing gooseberries, white florals, herbs and minerals. The palate is elegant and gently thirst-quenching with a very fine and smooth-flowing line and balanced, lacy acidity. The wine carries with soft richness and lusciousness to a delicate, lingering, nuanced finish of gooseberries and herbs. This is a delicate and refined Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and white floral flavours, and a smooth, mouthwatering palate. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2 years. Fruit 86% from the Bladen home block and 14% from the ‘Hunter’s’ block, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 2.9 g/L RS. 17.0+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $21.00
