Bladen Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 23-Sep-2015
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, lighter on edge. The nose is elegant and tightly bound with intense and penetratingaromas of gooseberries, fresh herbs, cut grass, nettle and green capsicums. White florals and minerally elements unfold in the glass. Vey dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of gooseberries, nettles, cut grass and passionfruit are tightly bound and restrained in expression. Fine, mouthwatering phenolic textures and crisp, lacy acidity feature on the palate providing good drive and linearity. Minerally nuances emerge and the wine carries through to a fine-textured, dry finish with nettle and gooseberry flavours. This is a tightly bound, dry Sauvignon Blanc with restrained gooseberry and grassy flavours and a palate driven by texture and acidity. Match with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2+ years. Fruit from Conders Bend Road and Alma Street, Renwick, cold-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.07 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Sep 2015 RRP $21.00
