Bladen Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Oct-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is very tight and elegantly held, with cooler-spectrum cut-grass and nettle-like aromas along with fresh herbs and minerally elements that show with intensity. Dry to taste and elegant in proportion, slender grassy, nettle and minerally fruit flavours are underlined by brisk, racy, chalky acidity. The wine is finely textured and follows a tight line, leading to a mouthwatering, nettle-flavoured, bracing finish. This is a tight and slender, racy and thirst-quenching Sauvignon Blanc in the cooler fruit spectrum. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Bladen’ and ‘Hunter’ vineyards, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 1.1 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Oct 2014 RRP $21.00
