Bladen Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Sep-2013
Fruit from Conders Road Bend and Alma Street, Renwick, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 3.0 g/L RS. Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is stylishly restrained with aromas of white florals, herbs and gooseberries, all tightly bound, but with good depth and intensity. Delicate nuances of flint and minerals add detail. Dry to taste and elegant in size, the palate is refined and finely proportioned with interwoven flavours of gooseberry fruit, fresh herbs and minerals. The mouthfeel is smooth and the wine flows easily revealing aromatic interest. The acidity is ripe and soft, providing a gentle linear drive that leads to a tight, moderately sustained, well-nuanced finish. This is a delicate and fine-featured Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and white floral detail. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood, or with salads over the next 2+ years. 18.0/20 Sep 2013 RRP $21.00
