Bladen Marlborough Riesling 2013

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Sep-2013
Bright, very pale straw colour with light green hues, pale edged. This has an elegant bouquet with a deep core of pure lime and lemon fruit aromas intermixed with exotic floral, sherbet, honeysuckle and minerally detail. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, lifted citrus fruit flavours are layered with white floral, jasmine and honeysuckle elements. The flavours follow a fine-textured and soft line enlivened by crisp, racy acidity. The mouthfeel shows balance, the acidity and sweetness very much in harmony, and leads to a gently luscious and lingering finish of limes and honey. This is an attractively aromatic, and gently exotic, off-dry Riesling with good balance. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood or Asian fare over the next 4-5 years. ‘Bladen Vineyard’ Conders Bend Road fruit, cool-fermented in tank to 12.0% alc. and 10.9 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Sep 2013 RRP $21.00
