Bladen Marlborough Pinot Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Sep-2016
Pale candyfloss pink colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegantly packed and intense with fine, pure and refreshing aromas of strawberries and cranberries along with pomegranate nuances and a little floral and confectionary lift, unfolding mouthwatering mineral detail. Off-dry to taste and medium-full bodied, this has up-front and well-concentrated flavours of strawberries, cranberries and savoury pomegranate fruit, along with subtly lifted floral and confectionary elements. The palate is crisp and thirst-quenching with fine textures and lacy acidity providing a guiding line, leading to a light, lingering, dry finish with strawberry notes. This is a well-concentrated, mouthwatering, crisp, off-dry rosé with strawberry and cranberry fruit and hints of confectionary. Serve as an aperitif, and with canapes or tapas over the next 2+ years. 100% Pinot Noir from the Bladen home block, hand-picked and given 2-4 hours skin contact, and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 6.0 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Sep 2016 RRP $21.00
