Bladen Marlborough Pinot Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Oct-2014
Pinot Noir fruit from the ‘Bladen’ vineyard given 4 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 14.0% alc. and 7.5 g/L RS. Bright, pale, salmon-pink colour, lighter on rim with some purple hues. This has a soft, fresh and positive nose with a good core of aromas of red florals and strawberry fruit along with minerally nuances and a suggestion of confectionary. Off-dry to taste, gently juicy and rich flavours of strawberries form a softly textured palate with a degree of unctuousness. The mouthfeel has vinosity, good depth and density, flowing smoothly with slippery acidity lending energy and drive. This has some power with the alcohol carrying the flavours to a soft, rounded finish with floral and confectionary notes. This is a soft, gently rich and slippery rosé with pretty red floral and strawberry flavours. Serve as an aperitif over the next 2 years. 17.0/20 Oct 2014 RRP $21.00
