Black Peak Wanaka Central Otago Riesling 2015

Riesling from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 21-Mar-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. This has an elegant and refined, penetrating nose of lime, lemon, tangerine and citrus blossom, expressed with clarity and purity. Nuances of mouthwatering minerals and toasty elements add refreshing detail. Medium to medium-sweet to taste and light-bodied, the palate possesses very tightly bound flavours of an array of citrus fruits with exotic florals, honeysuckle and nuances of toast and minerals. Fresh, brisk, mouthwatering acidity and very soft textures carry the wine to a very long, lingering finish. This is an elegant, medium-sweet Riesling with exotic citrus fruit and floral flavours and a soft, mouthwatering palate. Serve as an aperitif and with mildly spicy Asian fare over the next 5 years. Fruit from the Queensberry Hills, whole bunch foot-stomped and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 8.9% alc. and 48 g/L RS, TA 8.6 g/L and pH 2.83. 18.5-/20 Mar 2016 RRP $26.00
