Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Jul-2023
Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is fresh, with clean aromas of gooseberry, pineapple, elderflower and hints of capsicum. Medium-light bodied, aromas of gooseberry and pineapple melded with a lime zest, elderflower and subtle green capsicum. The wine is cleansing and pure with soft, juicy acidity. Lime zest and elderflower fragrance lift the wine, unfolding a hint of saline and a refreshing closing. Match with peeled prawns and steamed clams over the next 2-3 years. Fermented in stainless steel to 13.8% alc, 0.6 g/l RS, aged on lees for 2 months. Vegan friendly. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) July 2023 RRP $20
