Black Cottage Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Sep-2017
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues on the rim. This has a fresh and slender nose with tightly bound and moderately concentrated aromas of gooseberries with fresh herbs, subtle passionfruit and nettle notes, unfolding white floral and mineral nuances. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a finely concentrated core with flavours of gooseberries, passionfruit, fresh herbs and white florals. The fruit is up-front and accessible. The mouthfeel possesses soft, lacy acidity and the wine flows along a gently textured line, leading to a gooseberry and herb-nuanced finish. This is an elegantly concentrated, fresh and up-front Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry, herb and passionfruit flavours on a gentle, dry palate. Serve with salads and vegetables and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Wairau and Awatere valleys, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 3.6 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Sep 2017 RRP $18.00
