Black Cottage Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Aug-2013
Wairau and Awatere valley fruit cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 2.95 g/L RS. Bright, light straw colour with some green hues. The bouquet is full and voluminous with intense aromas of pungent passionfruit and dark herbs harmoniously entwined. Dry to taste, up-front and bold passionfruit and herbal fruit flavours show with good depth. The palate has some phenolic firmness, finely-textured and driving linearity, enlivened by zesty and racy acidity. This is zingy and bright with plenty of energy, the fruit being carried to a tight, grainy finish with restrained passionfruit notes. This is a tight and finely textured, upfront, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with plenty of bold aromas. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. 17.5/20 Aug 2013 RRP $18.00
