Black Cottage Marlborough Rosé 2016

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 13-Aug-2016
Bright, light pink colour with purple hues, lighter edged. This has a light, fresh and fragrant nose with delicate aromas of strawberries and cranberries along with subtle red floral notes and nuances of fruit pastille confectionary. The aromatics build in penetration and intensity in the glass. Dryish to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate features aromatic strawberry and floral flavours with soft confectionary elements. The mouthfeel is fresh and zesty, with crisp, enlivening acidity. The fruit forms a gently concentrated core and line that carries smoothly with a slippery flow to a lingering, fragrant finish with confectionary nuances. This is a crisp and refreshing dryish rosé with fragrant strawberry and confectionary notes and a flowing line. Serve as an aperitif, with tapas and Asian fare over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 4.4 g/L RS, the wine aged 8 weeks on lees. 17.0/20 Aug 2016 RRP $18.00
