Pinot Noir fruit from the Wairau Valley, fermented to 12.5% alc. and 5 g/L RS. Very pale pink with slight purple hues, youthful, and some dissolved CO2 showing. This has a fresh and aromatic nose of strawberries and cream, lifted red florals and young wine fermentation esters. The nose has good intensity and grows in volume in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, the palate is tight, crisp and mouthwatering with flavours of strawberries and cream, and lifted florals. The fruit has a subtle sweetness, which is balanced by the lively, tingling acid mouthfeel and fine, drying phenolic textures. The wine is carried by the phenolics to a thirst-quenching, dry finish. This is a crisp, dry-textured, mouthwatering rosé with aromatic strawberry and cream flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 17.0/20 Jul 2014 RRP $16.99
