Black Cottage Marlborough Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Aug-2013
Fullish, light, pink-purple colour, pale on rim. This has a light, refreshing, aromatic bouquet of strawberry fruit and red florals, along with subtle flint and mineral elements, lifted by youthful fermentation esters. Dry to taste, attractively lifted, delicate, strawberry and raspberry fruit flavours show a touch of confectionary interest. The mouthfeel is very fine-textured with a slippery, near-unctuous flow from lacy acidity. The palate is bright, lively and fresh, and the flavours of florals and subtle confectionary nuances carry through to a crisp, dry, aromatic finish. This is an attractively aromatic, rosé with freshness and slipperiness. A summertime aperitif drink, or serve with fresh fruit and with antipasto over the next 2 years. Wairau Valley Pinot Noir fruit cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 3.35 g/L RS. 17.0+/20 Aug 2013 RRP $18.00
