Black Cottage Marlborough Rosé 2011

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 29-Aug-2011
100% Pinot Noir from the Wairau Valley, given minimal skin contact and fermented to 13.0% alc. with 3.5 g/L rs, made with the rosé wines of Provence in mind. Very pale salmon pink colour with a very pale edge. The bouquet is fresh but gentle with attractive strawberry, soft red fruits and rose floral aromatics along with a hint of mineral and fresh herbs. Dry to taste, this has good weight and vinosity, the palate showing very delicate floral and strawberry lift. There is good acid freshness with a slippery, soft texture, leading to good line and length. A pretty rosé with floral lift and presence that will match antipasto, cold meats and salads over the next 2 years. 16.5/20 Aug 2011 RRP $18.00
