Black Cottage Marlborough Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Sep-2017
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with a suggestion of blush. The nose is light with subtle aromas of white stonefruits, pears, white florals and hints of minerals. The nose is soft and gently voluminous. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has aromatic flavours of white stonefruits and florals, along with honeysuckle notes. The mouthfeel is firm with a tight core, with light phenolic textures and integrated acidity. The flavours recede as the wine carries to a light finish. This is a light, fragrant, dry Pinot Gris with white stonefruit and floral flavours. Match with Asian fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and 4.4 g/L RS, the wine aged 8 weeks on lees. 16.0+/20 Sep 2017 RRP $18.00
